Earlier this summer I was at a garage sale and found two homemade bulletin boards just alike. The asking price? $3 for both but the lady took $2 so I had one dollar a piece invested in these 4ft x 2ft bulletin boards. I wanted a more pulled together look for our school room (which is actually the diningroom but it doubles as our school room for 9 months of the year). That way it didn't seem so cluttered. I decided that these bulletin boards would be the perfect re-purpose for such an idea. I brought them home and painted the frames white. I then purchased 2 yards of brown burlap material (with coupon this set me back a whopping $5.39). My 14 year old decided to be a big help so she actually covered the board with the burlap and both my 14 year old and 11 year olds helped with the painting. This was our end result, all ready to be covered with school materials! I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out and $7.39 was the price for the entire project, 2 boards worth!
