  • The Way Grandma Used To...

I'm going to be published!

12/1/2015

We were away over the Thanksgiving holiday visiting with relatives in a mountaintop cabin when I got an email that sent me over the moon.  Some time ago, actually months back to be exact, I submitted an article I wrote to a magazine.  My mom had shared this magazine with me and I found it fun, fresh and entertaining so I decided to take the plunge and submit when they had a call for "readers write."  While were all gathered around the livingroom one of the evenings just chatting and having coffee I happened to check in on my emails and there it was...it caught my eye when I saw that the article was from the magazine publishers and it said that they had chosen my story to be in their February issue!!!

I have always wanted to write, I really want to write a book but I am not sure whose story to tell...you see I love non-fiction.  I love real stories.  I love to write.  You see then why this news would be so exciting to me?  At least it is a start.  I may not be a "real" author yet but maybe this could be a stepping stone?

So, keep a lookout in stores and if you feel so inclined, pick up the February issue when it comes out.  I should be published on about page 22-23 on the "Reader's Write" section.

Wooohooo!!!
