Organic Bounty

This was the harvest this morning, all organically grown, super fresh produce from the garden in my back yard. I have been keeping diligent notes on how much produce the garden is yielding and I also kept reciepts and a detailed log of all my expenses to put the garden in this year.
I have a guess that when I add up the expenditures and divide by the number of pounds of produce I harvested I will be pleasantly surprised. Of course I will not get the final tally until sometime in October as that is probably when I will harvest the last of the produce for this growing season. My early guess is I will end up with several hundred pounds of produce before it is all done.
Today's bounty was 16.2 lbs (not including the free range eggs). This was cucumbers, zucchini, tomatillos, green tomatos, banana peppers and beans.  This was all grown in a 15x40 ft garden surrounded by 10 raised beds made from recycled semi truck tires (I promise it doesn't look as bad as it sounds).
I have to admit I was kinda amazed at how much was there!
